Scruff by Name, Tough by Nature!

This is Scruff, a kind of terrier who was rescued by my sister.
He spent his early life abandoned in a scrapyard to catch rats. To increase his enthusiasm for catching rats, he was poorly fed and treated badly.
His owners wanted rid of him one way or another, so my sister rescued him before anything bad could happen to him.
He also goes by the sobriquet of "Lord Scruff" as an indication of his present standing and treatment in the family.
