Walking above Urbanya
The weather stayed fine for today’s walk, warm in the sunshine, just a little chilly in the shade. It was my turn to lead the walk again and we followed a route that was tricky to follow but we did not get lost, 520 metres of ascent and nine kilometres walking. It was a lovely open hike with fine views over the mountains and down to the tiny remote village of Urbanya. It took half an hour in the car to climb the sinuous single track road from the main valley up to the village. I also spotted an old Citroen Dyane in a shed that looked like it would never run again.
