Possible Flares

Not the fashion disaster of the 70's but activity from the two groups of sunspots seen at the top and to the left of the Sun's face. Both groups are growing and show signs of potential flares although these are likely to be the less energetic C class ones. Solar flares are classed as X, M and C types with X being the most extreme sort which can cause electrical blackouts on Earth as well as spectacular auroras.
