Painted Redstart
(back blip #5)
This is the absolute best photo I have ever gotten of a Painted Redstart. This is primarily a bird native year-round in Mexico and Central America and is a member of the warbler family. It can be seen this time of year in southeast and northern Arizona and western New Mexico where they come to breed.
In the blip, it's seen contemplating jumping from the short fence. In the extra, it has begun it's jump. The extra is really worth opening up for a look because of the beautiful fanning of its tail. It's really a stunning bird in person. Absolutely best viewed in large, as are all the birds in my back blips!
Husband: Oh the weather is lovely today. Shall we go out for a quick jog?
Wife: Hahaha, I love the way you pronounce 'Shall we go out and have a cake'!
