View from Arnside

I was very concerned looking at the forecast last night, it didn't look good anywhere. This morning, just before breakfast, we couldn't see the edge of the water and certainly couldn't see over to Arnside, which had been my plan for the day. However, during breakfast the mist was clearing and the light was beautiful. After checking the week's forecast again, I made my firm decision that we would go to Arnside.

We drove round and parked part way up, at the NT car park. We then had a nice time walking up through the woods. The weather changed considerably and when we got to the top we actually had blue sky and a bit of sun. The wind got up while we were at the top, which made it very cold. We had lunch and then decided to take the short route down, they weren't too inspired photo wise, the thought of a hot drink in a cafe took preference. After a hot chocolate in the pub, next to a roaring fire, we decided to head back to the hotel to sort through photos.

Another lovely meal and then a chance to view each others photos of the day.

I have backblipped yesterday as the internet crashed last night.
