Looking South

Still at the Stromness Pier-Head looking south towards the island of Hoy.

The Boats are:

MERLIN (green and yellow)  A local fishing boat.
ATHENIA (black and orange)  The MPC Athenia high speed survey craft is a jet-propelled craft. Ideal for rapid crew transfer, she can carry 12 passengers and 2 crew, with up to twenty tonnes of cargo.
HUSKYAN (black and white)  This Dive Charter boat takes parties of up to twelve to dive on wrecks in Scapa Flow.  (Featured on the Michael Portillo programme recently)
VIOLET, DOROTHY AND KATHLEEN (orange and navy)  Stromness RNLI Lifeboat  She has a long name - I'm not sure if there was an argument about the name  :o))
