Crossing!
This bridge crosses the river Eden and takes you from Carlisle into Rickerby Park. If you read the plaque you will see that the park (and the bridge to reach it) were bought for the people of Carlisle as a memorial for those who died in the first world war. A better and more useful memorial than a stone cross if you ask me.

I liked this in B and W which is all that would have been available to most photographers when the bridge was built.
