Wounded by Eunice, felled by Franklin

It’s only a little lonely blackthorn but it’s a sad loss. I have photos of it in blossom and later surrounded by bluebells as it is a good viewpoint for our house.   I thought only half of it had fallen on Sunday when I walked past but obviously the rest came down.   I was planning to guerrilla plant a few hawthorns up there.  i have a lot of seedlings in the garden but now I’ll look for a blackthorn too.
