Cerulean Ice

Rather worryingly, there were people out on the lake ice today despite pools of water lying on top on account of the warm temperatures. Near the shore, the meltwater seemed milky white and cloudy, but the camera had other ideas. The water obviously took on a blue hue from the sky overhead and bits of floating ice gives the image a texture as if it were painted.

The reeds turned orange catching the last of the sun and contrast nicely against the blue reflection.
