Happy Families
Thankfully the power was still on this morning and I rushed to get all my jobs done. It was windy, but nothing like yesterday, and blue sky which was really beautiful at 7:30am! I managed to do two loads of bedding laundry, hoover, mop, iron and run the dishwasher before around 1pm I happened to notice the power had gone off just as I was about to leave.... I got soaked trying to pick up all my recycling that had blown all over the lawn after the bins were taken out yesterday. It was tipping it down, and howling again, and in the daylight I could see a large tree down.
Little Ro stayed with mum last night as she had no power either, so when I arrived she and Little B were happily spread out on her old bed, napping!
Lucy came over this afternoon and we had a noisy time playing card, dancing, and playing the "drop me!" game. She's off to Disneyland Paris tomorrow, and was perhaps a little nervous to go away, although I'm sure she'll have a great time! I shall miss her though.
I popped to Waitrose, and then home, where thankfully the power was back on. Little Ro decided to stay another night at mums. The lights dipped around 11pm, and I rushed to brush my teeth so that I could just go to bed if we lost it again.
The crappiest half-term week in a long time really.
