From Holme Fell

Last night's storm (Franklin) kept us awake most of the night. At one point it sounded like the roof was coming off! It didn't, but the front of one of our sheds became separated from the sides. I was in the garden before breakfast repairing it - hopefully the repairs will hold.

We had a lazy morning recovering / sleeping, but at 11 ot all looked to be improving. We drove down to Yew Tree Tarn - which had flooded quite badly, and managed to find a walk up Holme Fell. The walk was very boggy - at times I thought we were walking up a river, but the views from near the top were wonderful. Todays blip was taken looking down on the tarns above Hodge Close, with the Langdales in the background.
