The Port Carlisle Dock.
For walkers of the Hadrian's wall route one of the sights to encounter.
I see the dock every time I walk my dog Jack.
The dock is a reminder of the more busier days in our little village.
When there was a Port, to operate the city of Carlisle.
There was also a train connection, the Dandy was horse driven.
Now a days our village lies silent on the Solway, and has a neighbouring camping site. The area is close to the Lake District and has a lot to offer.
Gosh, I'm a lucky man! :-)
