As I lay me down to sleep

This chive seed head looked like it was all tucked up for the winter, complete with night cap. I am constantly amazed by the beauty that can be found in nature if you only look for it. I find myself looking more and more these days. Not just in pursuit of a blip but also just for looking sake.

I guess I'm finally taking time to smell the roses, figuratively and literally.

Cousteau came to school with me today. It was fun hanging out with him. While the kids did vocab tests and the like, I got to snuggle with my pooch. He was so good ... as per usual.

After school there were meetings.

Then Mass and tea. Lots of laughter - much of it at my expense - heaps of food and birthday cake for R. Sweet 17.

Home later than planned - isn't it always the way?
