Calendar Captures Mood

The calendar picture of Corrour Bothy in the Cairngorms in winter captures the mood of isolation. The bright glow at window would be a welcome sight for any weary traveler.

The bothy provided shelter a few weeks ago for a lone walker who was unexpectedly benighted. Fortunately the experienced walker marked direction arrows and his name in the snow. The marks were spotted by helicopter the next morning but by that time the walker had reached Braemar where the first person he met was a member of the mountain rescue team.
