Damned Eunice

Just went on the roof today to check if all was still ok after storm Eunice passed, even though all looked fine from the ground. Very very happy that I did, because this is what I found on the side of our roof, invisible unless you are actually up there. We otherwise would have only found out through water damage…

Had enough spare roof-tiles on stock to fix it immediately. The missing three were shattered in pieces in the gutter between our and our neighbour’s house.

It could have been much worse though, it’s just easily fixable material damage, whereas four unfortunate souls lost their lives here in the Netherlands and we had quite some injured too…
