After the Snow....

It's one named storm after another just now.  We returned to Ilkley this morning for the second half of the weekend orienteering and I think it will go down in competitors' and volunteers' memories as the Big Weather Weekend.

We could see the flooding along the AIRE valley from the top of the hill before we dropped down in to Keighley, then as we went up and over in to Wharfedale, more fields full of water.

The hardy competitors went out in to high winds and heavy rain with the moor streaming water down in to the town.  Reports began coming in to the hall where we were manning registration that roads were closed and a tree was down over another, what a day!

So this is my only photo of the day, taken out of the car window after we returned home along the bypass.  The ducks were certainly making the most of the awful weather.
