Rescued from Franklin

I've always assumed this local shrub/small tree was blackthorn, though I notice it has no thorns on it.  I shall have to confirm when the leaves come out.  Meanwhile, this small piece of its blossom was rescued by me from the coming storm on my (very short) walk this morning.  Storm Franklin doesn't seem to be going full tilt yet, but it was damp and cold out and the local roads absolutely covered in smashed twigs and small branches.  Thank you, Eunice.
