Police Scotland Day 10
From 1 April, the Air Support Unit became part of the single service and a nationwide resource for Police Scotland's Operational Support Division.
The unit is regularly tasked to a variety of duties including searching for missing persons, providing an overview of vehicle pursuits and major events and taking aerial photography for use in planning and evidence.
Recently the unit was deployed to Arran to aid officers and partners during the severe weather.
Assistant Chief Constable Bernard Higgins met the crew responsible for the day-to-day running of the Air Support Unit.
