A Wee Challenge

How thin can you go?
Well, the bowl is about 1mm think and the stem is maybe 3mm.
It is made from a bit of the Lilac tree I took down recently.

I tried doing another one - a bit taller and thinner.
It didn't work.
Not because it broke, but because it kept flying out of the lathe jaws and I got fed up of ducking (not that that would work because nobody has reflexes that fast.) and gave up.
I will try another day.

Having given up on the salvaged Lilac in the garage I took the shredded lilac and polystyrene to the dump.

It was then just a case of photographing the Silver Birch weed pot.

Apart from that, the only constructive thing I have done all day is drink tea.
