Knurled

My trombone, or bits of it, have been blipped over the years and here is the so-called rotary valve with it's knurled cover. I've stepped up the home practice as we have a contest at Oxford next week, our first since early 2020.

In the meantime Mrs K and daughter Danielle had an appointment in Axminster, Devon this afternoon, about an hour and twenty minutes drive from home. Unfortunately, on setting off for the return journey, the tyre pressure warning light came on and a deflating tyre was confirmed. Luckily we're members of a breakdown service and, while they had to wait for some time, as luck would have it there was a pub just across the road :-) They're now on their way back at a steady speed with space-saver wheel fitted.
