And now for something different...

I went to a workshop on African Songs, held at the Unitarian Chapel in Kendal.  The Natural Voice Network of singing leaders who lead our local groups (Clare Mee, David Burbidge and others) have a project that  specifically focuses on commissioning new songs of black origin and underlines the importance of acknowledging and learning about the history of African tunes.  Some were quite moving, some just great fun to sing.
