A drift of snowdrops

We got out early for 4.5 miles up the moor, then down to the Whittingham road where I sneaked up the drive of a castellated mansion to take the blip. We took the steep path up through the fields to Physic Lonnen and home by West Hills. It was all very muddy but the views over to the snowy Cheviots were lovely.

I spent the afternoon getting frustrated by Blurb which crashed on me while I worked on my cookbook. It says it saves automatically but I had lost half an hour’s work. I don’t like their recipe layouts as suddenly headings move and disappear to appear several pages ahead. So I’m now designing my own layout which I do normally anyway.

We are off out to Chris’s for supper. We didn’t go to her party last week as there were too many people going so hopefully this will be a small gathering. I’ve not eaten anything since breakfast as she cooks hearty food - soup and bread, pasta and bread and a crumble pudding.
