Diary of an Edinburgher

Shopping!

I watched the men’s curling final while on my bike. Well done UK, but tough to lose by centimetres, as they were neck and neck. I like listening to all the tactical explanations, but I have no idea what it means.

Today dawned blue skies and calm - quite a surprise after yesterday, because we expected more of the same wintery conditions. A perfect day for Archie and Elizabeth to roam the hills.

We went into town, and popped in to ‘Bar & Block’ for steak and chips, as I had a 30% off voucher. It was very busy, but it’s a huge place - good to see it busy. I left a few chips, because I’m on a diet. No, sorry, I MEANT to leave a few chips, but I forgot…

We then went for a coffee (NO pastries) at Victor Hugo. And then, I don’t know what came over me, but I decided to do a bit of browsing round the shops with JR. In fact, we spend AGES in her favourite High Street shop, Whistles. We both got something.

It was still bright sunshine, so I left JR to her browsing, and I walked down to Princes Street and strolled along the Gardens side. I do love the city on a sunny day when it’s full of happy tourists and visitors (and locals).

I’ve made my journal ‘protected’, following the suggestion of one of my long time blip buddies.
