Soft lighting..

Eunice came our way at 10.30 this morning and took out the electricity.

No heating, no water, no lighting. The boiler service man cancelled. Too wet and windy to drive home so we stayed.

Still no power this evening. We rummaged around in the dark and found two night lights.

In bed under two duvets by 8.30 pm. Breathing under the covers to create some warmth.

But, we’re really not complaining. We’re safe and it’s a new experience and another grateful added to our long list.

Our phones died hours ago so this is a back blip, to tell the tale.
