Rick and Meg

My brother and his wife are here for too short a time so we are trying to make the most of it.

We have already introduced them to the Trail House so we began our day there. Tobi and Dan joined us for conversation about tomato plants. Tobi is growing somewhere between 300 and 600 plants, some for herself and most for the Harvest for the Hungry plant sale. Harvest for the hungry is a large food garden run by volunteers. The food is then donated to local food banks.

After trips to the store (John and Rick) and downtown (Meg and me) we came home in time for David to come by for beer and chat. That conversation seemed to revolve around growing pot, the use of pot when we were all much younger and something to do with low voltage, high tech houses that can be controlled from a phone (my worst nightmare) and building a modular home in our field.

We’re now sitting and watching Rick as he produces paella and some appetizers out of nothing which he will make into something after delving around in the depths of the fridge. Dana and Jim and will will be joining us soon.

It’s been a nice day…
