Storm Eunice.
Help me out here!
First thing there was wind but nothing major however it did mean the birds weren't using the feeders and not dropping seed for the ground feeders so President pheasant appeared to be coming to knock at my door.
He even got up onto the upturned log close by and looked back as if to say, "help Me out here,"
I cancelled the morning's work fully expecting to be ok for the afternoon, the forecast suggested the worst would be over by 11am but that was not the case.
My electricity went off around 1015 and boy, did the wind blow. Trees are amazing, the amount they twist and bend without breaking is fantastic to watch. Unfortunately one of the Conifer trunks couldn't stand it and blew down around 2pm, no damage though it fell onto the hedge.
The road outside is partly blocked with a tree down and the telephone lines are on the floor.
I went to RF's at 5pm, we've had a fairly normal evening and now I'm back writing this in the dark still without power, hope everyone who reads this is safe.
