Not so calm

We went to get the weekend shopping first thing this morning but discovered that the Marks and Spencers food hall had new slightly later opening times. We filled in the hour by wave watching on the west coast. Fortunately the storm was not so severe here as had been expected. Still exceedingly rough though and we didn't stay long as the car was moving in the wind. It was an hour after high tide and have added some more in extras. 

Miss T has finished her exams and has gone out this evening to celebrate with a friend, they are having cocktails and dinner. 

I hope that everyone is safe. I know that parts of the south east and London have fared badly because some electricity and phone lines are down.
