Playing Chicken

Once the birds had had their breakfast, we went out and secured some of the items in the garden which we thought might be at risk from the winds. There was a distinct sense of urgency amongst the birds - it seems as if wildlife has a premonition of impending weather events.
It's been pretty wild but judging by the media, despite us having an amber warning, we don't seem to be doing too badly. Fingers crossed that we are approaching the end of the current storm. It looks like there is still a chance of some snow over the next day or so.
