Why?

Why does Windross decide to update whenever you critically need the computer?

Why can't I turn 'updates' off, or at least just have the fixes and not the parts that scramble important parts of the system?  Like internet access.

Why does it sit there for minutes saying 100% done?  Clearly, it isn't.
