Storm Eunice

We ended up being in a red warning zone for winds from Storm Eunice.  Nothing terrible happened that we could see from our house, but a fence panel got nearly totally destroyed at the end of the garden and tried to take the next panel with it.  To the left side, behind the bushes, our neighbour's fence panel came out of the concrete posts and smashed.  Also his concrete bird bath came off the base which it was screwed into and was thrown across the garden.  Other fence panels in adjoining gardens came down and I was horrified to see elderly neighbours out in the height of the storm trying to prop them up.  Goodness knows what the wind speeds were.  Fortunately they weren't hit by anything.  It is still very wild out there and our windows are covered in sea salt.
