Bill & Ben Were Hiding

It was turning white when I got up and went to the shop this morning.
Quite heavily if truth were told - and there was no sign of any gritters/snow ploughs having been out (obviously the council was taking the advice to stay at home seriously).
It was quite slushy and slippery on the main roads - not helped by people staying in 1st & 2nd gear and hitting the brakes hard approaching junctions (driving skills and standards are definitely declining). 
By the time I got home it was melting rapidly.

There has been no wind today (touch wood) and relatively little rain so we have avoided the bullet as far as storms go (so far/today).

I fought with a splitting and cracked bit of wood today and managed to get  a weed pot out of it - not quite the design I was going for, but pretty close and considering the state of the wood at the start I think it is close to a miracle.
