Surviving the elements
Conwy Castle has stood the test of time, protecting its walled town for over 700 years. Today, it’s relatively calm, Edward’s battles long forgotten, and the only struggles likely to be seen are those brought by tomorrow’s storm. Amber warnings are unusual here, but at least we’re escaping the red alarms elsewhere. Clearly Eunice is going to be one formidable lady.
This day between two storms sees my first Blipmeet - coffee and chat with KarenC at RSPB Conwy. Rain stops our planned walk round the reserve - but such is the fickleness of current weather that within minutes, the sun appears once more. I restrict activity to a walk along the estuary, capturing a variety of shots, including this one of the castle which focuses on battlements and turrets to avoid the annoying distractions of contemporary life!
Other than this, I spend my day sorting through my photos of Orkney and Shetland - several thousand shots. I think this photo book is going to be a long time in the making!
Thanks for your sympathy in view of yesterday’s home maintenance disaster. No more to report on that front; our builder has gone strangely quiet…….
Thanks also for the lovely response to yesterday’s mono moss - it’s very much appreciated.
