The OBOTCBB*

After a very disturbed night’s sleep while Tess went through cold turkey following her brief encounter with morphine, we were glad to get home this morning.

Tess had planned a surprise birthday meal for me with the family but we decided to postpone that; instead Kate, Sophie and Chris called in and, as always, Sophie helped me open my presents and blow out the candles on the cake. It was lovely to be back with the family and enjoying a bit of normality after yesterday.
