The Bridge to Nowhere.
A remnant of Lord Leverhume's attempt to build a road up the east coast of Lewis. Apparently all the concrete was mixed by hand. The labourers were well paid by the standards of the day, getting 2 shillings an hour. This was in the 1920's.
