Goosander

The storm conditions had abated but up at the Heritage Park the wind was still whipping up the surface of the water in the loch.

No sign of the swan family but when I reached the wee nature reserve I could see the whole family were swimming about in the more sheltered waters. I planned to use a photo of the swans but then I spotted this rather beautiful male Goosander. His mate was a bit too far away paddling about in the reeds.

Watched the GB curlers beat the USA to earn their place in the final. I don’t know too much about curling and the tactics involved but the match was exciting.
