Happy Joe Tree Day!

Thank you to Joe for the creation of this special place.

Another full on weather day.  I saw to the animals and birds first thing when the sun was out (!) and then got out all the photographic equipment I will need for blipping runners in the dark on Saturday night (!!)  I've still no idea how to do it so if anyone has any thoughts on settings etc I would be very grateful.  I've dug out a flash gun given to me by a friend several years ago, but the manual might as well be written in a foreign language for all the sense I can make of it!  The street light on the lane has been out for several weeks so I'm going to set up when it is dark, put the camera on the tripod on delay and run up and down a bit with my headtorch on and see what happens......

Angela messaged did I want a walk before the weather turned and we took off over the moor.  The rain blew in as we descended, followed closely by very cold sleet so I warmed up at Angela's with a cuppa and Betty's mince pie, watched a bit of the men's curling (well done GB), quizzed husband P about pensions and income tax, then braved the awful wetness to go home and rescue the sodden towels from the line!
When I turned up our street, I thought to myself that look's odd....A neighbour's car was right up on the pavement and rested against another neighbour's door....It had apparently rolled (we live on a very steep street!)  but luckily turned to miss their car and came to rest on a couple of plantpots which will need replacing.  Thank goodness it wasn't worse.

As I write just before sunset, the sky is blue!  It's not looking a good forecast for Parkrun, the British Night Champs and the Ilkley Moor Event this weekend.  We shall see.
