LBJ's Cows
Today's bicycle ride went from Fredericksburg to the LBJ ranch. Lyndon Johnson was President of the USA after Kennedy and before Nixon (1963-1969). He was a democrat and brought the "great society" to the American scene. These social reforms changed America. However, he also presided as Commander in Chief, over the Vietnam war. So there is much controversy around his legacy.
Now, he lies across the street from these cows in a family plot. Also, aboard this national/state park is a runway, an air force one half (C-140) on static display and the Texas White house where much business was done.
This is my third day shooting cows. Some may think that all of the inhabitants of Texas are cows. They may be right in some areas of the state.
The morning was misty and spit rain at us; the afternoon was hot and dusty. This picture, taken around 11AM, had some really weird light in the background, on the really green grass (anomalous for Texas). So, that's today's blip.
