The Mille

I couldn't resist using this sign, it's only a half hour walk from home, and I suppose I'd earmarked it a while ago for my thousandth blip. In a way it represents what a lot of my London blips are like - buildings, trees, signs. To be truly typical I also needed a river, a train track, a cat, and a football pitch. It's just a shame I couldn't get a plane reflected in the windows :o)

For only the third time in my thousand blips (did I mention that milestone) I got warned off by security when taking the picture. The building behind also has a 1,000 sign etched over the entrance, which I didn't really think would come out well but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. I was taking a shot of the sign and the rest of the tall building above it when a security guy came out of the door, just off his shift. He asked me what I was doing so I started explaining about blipfoto but he said I needed to get off the property. I carried on telling about the one photo per day, the community, the balloons at various landmark achievements, and by the time I got to the reason for being there he seemed to understand, did a whatever shrug and wandered off. I think I bored him into submission. The photo was crap anyway.

The building is called The Mille, because the address is 1,000 Great West Road, it's on the A4 in Brentford.

I'm going to look pretty stupid if I've miscounted. . .
