Hybrid Mallard

This is one of the more interesting hybrid ducks I have found by the river in my local park. It is probably a cross between a white domestic duck, and a wild Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos). After my visit with the flock, I went to the grocery store to gather supplies before the next big snowstorm arrives tomorrow. The National Weather Service forecast says that we should expect 4 to 8 inches, plus some bonus freezing rain. There are 32 days until Spring.
