Leicester Cathedral

Mum is in hospital at the moment. She`s quite poorly and is undergoing tests to find out what is wrong with her.
At times like this I always gravitate to the Cathedral to light a candle and say a few silent words.......even though I`m not a practising Catholic it gives me some comfort.
I walked round the Cathedral and came across this porchway on the Guildhall side.
Have no idea how old it s, but looking at the plasterwork and the vaulted roof, I guess its a few hundred years old at least. Have tried the website but it has no info on it
