The News Today

The news today is that there was no news! Well, not much anyway.

Tesco Man called soon after ten. He was the one who always calls me 'Madam' and makes me feel about 142 never mind 42. Oh well....

The best thing was that my new kettle arrived from Amazon at lunchtime. The old white one had sprung a leak over the past few days and I decided to go for a black one that has a side panel which glows blue when it boils.

You know that saying about how a watched pot never boils? Well, after watching my new kettle boil several times, I can honestly state without a shadow of doubt that the old saying is complete rubbish! It boils very nicely and I never took my eyes off it!

There really was no other news.

I hope the little fellow in my picture didn't choke!
