Tiny whatevers

This is a tropical plant, perhaps a member of the palm family, planted in a huge pot outside of Trader Joe's.  I don't know how they survive our winters.  (Not too far from here in Chardon where the snow gets even deeper, I saw an entire front and back yard full of huge old cacti once. That would make a good blip!)
