Buttermere....

.....my new favourite Lake!!

We had a nice long drive through Kendal, up Kirkstone Pass, through Patterdale and Ullswater to Buttermere where Mr W parked up at a pub and sat reading his kindle while Lady Linda, Bella and I headed off round the lake.

Oh it was beautiful.  Just stunning.

Then we were treated to a flypast by not just 1 but 5 jets that gave me goosebumps. (Hoping Captureasecond will tell me what they were!)

We finished off the day with a cider in the pub Mr W was waiting in before the 60 miles back to the cottage where it seems we might need to hunker down while storm Dudley passes. No more trees please Dudley. There have been far too many lost to the last storm up here.
