Two members of staff...

... were re-arranging the window of a shop in York -  an opportunity for an unusual photo. I didn't realise, at the time, that the young man was holding an ornament representing kingfishers.

Coincidentally, I had just been on the phone to re-arrange a booking for a  workshop (which I was due to attend this Friday) photographing kingfishers. The event had been cancelled because of the anticipated weather on Friday.

Today's weather was forecast to be much worse than I encountered in York, though, as can be seen in my extra, there was quite a lot of surface water around the city centre.
