A dreadful title, I admit. Could have been worse... if I'd led with the extra it'd have been "come and avocet if you think you're hard enough".

A thoroughly wet and miserable morning, the afternoon brightened enough to nip up to Slimbridge. The Glossy Ibis was out alongside the canal again, luring folk into not paying for entry into the WWT, but there were so many photographers I left them to it.

I like both shots and wasn't sure which to lead with. Was I right?
