Last Day

Nipped out to get a shot of the padlock on the Lovers Tree and when I got back I found No1 son taking pictures of Peter The Pelican ..... who then started trying to eat his arm.
I was assured he was being very gentle.

We headed back to Larnaca to get the plane home via Dhekelia for some very nice fish and chips (and where the Cygnet smashed the side of his face into the corner of a counter top ....... that has left a mark!

The airport was horribly hot and the kids got very hot and stressed (LML had to have a wet cloth draper over her head to stop her overheating.
Waiting for the wheels to get off the ground was a nightmare with both kids howling and the Cygnet refusing to do what he was told.
It wasn't looking good.

However, almost as soon as we were airborne they both fell asleep.

On arriving back at Manchester we had to wait for an age to get through passport control.
Why is it that they only have 1 electronic passport reader working and that has to be the slowest piece of laser reading equipment in the world. Oh - I know ....... this is Britain and it is government introduced piece of shit and you can't possibly have more than half a skeleton staff working after 11.00pm.

Welcome to Britain!

At least the minibus driver was waiting for us and was very pleasant and helpful getting us back to the hotel to collect the cars.

SWMBO and I elected to get a room and set off for home in the morning.
Son-in-law insisted on heading off straight away despite everyone telling him to get some sleep (and let the kids get some sleep in a bed).

He made it to Penrith and had to stop ........ only got 3 hours kip before the kids woke and also had to pay a lot more than we did.
He will also have to pay in other ways for really pissing off Bags (and she has her mothers ability to hold a grudge and take retribution at the most unexpected times)
