Until you realise, it's just a story

The village library hosted a crafts session this afternoon so I took the girls along. The sessions are free and run every school holiday. They're usually well attended and today was no exception as there were upward of twenty children plus their parents squashed into the room. Today's theme was spring and the children made and decorated little bunny rabbit cards and butterfly mobiles. It was snowing/sleeting again today of course so it didn't feel very springlike!

We're lucky to have our library as many have been closed all over the UK, especially in villages as small as ours. As it is, our library, which is housed in an ex- Wesleyan chapel, is constantly under threat. A group was set up last time the cuts threatened us and the community had arranged to run it as a charity ourselves with a band of volunteers, but then we were spared the axe in the end (thankfully). There's a lot of change afoot here still and it's all a bit uncertain. Most revolves around the imminent closure of our middle school, and what will happen as a result. It could impact the library too.

Anyway, here we have Grace and Arwen listening to the lady who organises the crafts sessions read a story. Ophelia was busy chasing round the book cases with a bunch of other kids at the time...

Today's song lyric title is a bit more obscure than some I've used. It's from an 80s song by a Scouse group..any guesses?!.
