It is half term.

CyclopsJnr is at Holiday Club at school most of the week - parents Cyclops are still playing catch up from recent covid disruptions.

CyclopsJnr can be a bit vague in his descriptions of what he did during the day. One of the sessions he chose today was called 'Hunger Games' - entirely terrifying if you're familiar with that book or film series. In practice it seems to be yet another version of dodgeball. Tell you what the creative folks at Holiday Club have come up with endless subtly different versions of dodgeball and the kids love it. Running about and throwing balls at one another - what's not to like?

Tired out, watched Despicable Me.

Then CyclopsJnr decided he wanted to cook his own dinner, which was a spaghetti carbonara ish thing. This was more perilous than the pancakes, involving boiling water and sharp knives, so there was substantial supervision. Not sure it was fun for him really. But he was pleased with and proud of the outcome.
