Perfect spot

Could there be a better spot in which to spend time painting - view of the sea, people to watch, sunlight streaming in, all quiet and peaceful. 

After a delicious Grandad breakfast, he and Maisie set off on an adventure. They caught a bus into Folkestone and then walked back following the seashore (and stopping at Waitrose for cake!). Meanwhile Ella and I got out all our watercolours and brushes and experimented with colour mixing and pattern making. A really lovely time for both of us.

Later we walked along to The Waterfront Restaurant and had a splendid  meal - Maisie chose Mussels, Ella had a wonderful burger (see extra). As it was Valentine's Day each table was decorated with two red balloons held down with a bag of chocolate hearts and the girls got to take them away with them. So we now have balloons in the apartment! 

Some intense games of rummy ended a rather good day.
