Water

I was out for a walk today and took a short cut through the churchyard to be confronted by this scene. There was a lot of water coming out of the hose pipe. ‘Have you had problems?’ I said to the young man, thinking maybe they had a leak. ‘No we had a christening yesterday and I’m just emptying the font’ he said. Oh’ says I ‘ I thought a font only held a bit of water?’. ‘This was a christening of a student so there was a lot of water’ he said. I’m guessing they must have had a proper dip judging by the level of water. I’m not a church goer so it was all a bit beyond me! Interesting though!
